Matthew 28:18-20 (ESV) And Jesus came and said to them, "All authority in heaven and on earth has been given unto me. Go therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all that I have commanded you. And behold, I am with you always, to the end of the age."

This passage is known as the Great Commission. It is our belief that every Christian is given the command to take the gospel of Christ to the world, either by direct participation in mission work or by supporting those Nationals who are already doing the work of God on foreign soil.

The 1040 window: It is the area of North Africa, the Middle East and Asia, approximately 10 degrees north and 40 degrees north latitude. It is sometimes called the Resistant Belt.

Every effort should be made to carry out the Great Commission. Christ was very emphatic that we should attempt to reach the resistant, but that there will be those who continue to resist His message.

We might gather from Christ’s command, that we ought to be spending more of our effort attempting to evangelize those who are more receptive to the gospel. If they are receptive, we will not be leaving these towns and cities, but will concentrate our efforts toward those hungry hearts that are crying out for Christ.
